What we do

IK Design, Inc. was founded in 1993 as a source of high quality architectural woodwork for the San Francisco Bay Area's premium construction market. We specialize in Residential and Commercial projects as well as crafting custom furniture. Our goal is to implement our client's vision by supplying an uncompromised final product that we believe will exceed demanding expectations. 

To accommodate our client's designs we use the best materials, hand-picked lumbers, veneers and hardware, sometimes stone, glass, custom metals and lighting, all fully integrated in the product we are commissioned to supply. 

At IK Design, Inc. we thrive on the challenges from complex designs that our clients bring and we provide solutions at every step starting at the design development through to the installation process. 

Our services include project management, detailed shop drawings, a fabrication process using traditional European techniques assisted with the latest CNC equipment, a state of the art finishing department and a full time field installation crew. 

While most of our work is performed in the SF Bay Area, we have also completed projects in other parts of the United States such as Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Hawaii, Vail Colorado, Minnesota and New York.  

where we started 

Isaac Khelif was raised in Paris, France, where he studied and graduated in traditional furniture making and industrial design. He worked in Paris for several years on projects such as museums, banks and retail stores before moving to the United States where, for the next 12 years, he worked for different large architectural woodworking firms in San Francisco. In 1993 he founded IK Design, Inc. and for the past 26 years has built a reputation for being the supplier of some of the finest quality architectural woodwork available in the Bay Area.
